After planning and building your new home, you’ve probably already added lots of personal features and touches to your home throughout the home building process. But now that you’ve moved in, the real fun begins and you have the opportunity to personalize your new home and really make it yours.

1. Customize Window Treatments
Your windows will always be a focal point in your room. Opt for new window treatments in your new home that will enhance the room and your décor. You can try everything from valances to decorative blinds to make your windows look beautiful.
Don’t forget to speak to your home builder because they may have a supplier that you can deal with directly so that you can have them installed before you move in.
2. Decorate A Wall With Family Photos
A great way to customize your home is to dedicate one of your wall areas to all of your favourite family photos. This will make this area a focal point in the room as well as create a conversation piece. Having photos that make you smile will always make a room feel more comfortable. You can either use all matching frames to create a uniform look, or go a little wild and have different frames for each photo.
3. Big Fluffy Throw Rugs Are Great
While most homeowners are opting for tile or wood floors in their newly built homes, a large fluffy area rug always adds a sense of comfort to an area.
